Like any charity, we are nothing without our many supporters. The volunteers that come out to our projects in Kenya; the individuals who raise money by running or skydiving or sitting in baths of baked beans; the schools that adopt our projects; the companies that give up time, skills or services to help us.
The communities we support have many challenges. Your help – no matter how insignificant it may seem to you – can make a huge difference. If just £3.20 (less than a cuppa at a cafe!) can provide a life saving meal for 60 orphans, imagine what else we can achieve with your help There are so many ways you can get involved:
Why not join the team of volunteers that support our projects in Kenya?
You don’t have to travel to Africa to help us, you can get involved from the UK in a number of ways, including sponsorship or by adopting one of our projects in your church, school or business.
If you are teacher, educating the global citizens of the future, maybe our schools twinning programme could be the missing element in your curriculum.
The joy of payroll giving is that we get your tax added back into the donation, so the money you give us through your payroll every month can go even further. Any UK, EU, Norwegian or Icelandic charity that is recognised by HMRC for tax purposes can receive gifts this way.
Legacy giving isn’t a topic we like to dwell on, but you can change someone’s life after your death by leaving a gift to Challenge Africa in your will. We appreciate any amount donated and welcome donations by standing orders or direct debits. We can then be assured of a steady income throughout the year.
If you donate monthly by standing order, you make a regular, sustained commitment to our projects.
Or why not make Challenge Africa the designated charity for your society or religious group?
Perhaps you feel you’d like to give a really meaningful birthday, wedding, Christmas or leaving present? Challenge Africa can help you donate a donkey, chick, water tank, school pack or selection of seeds in the name of someone special. Just contact us for more information.
As you can see from our list of wonderful corporate supports below, we welcome the involvement of businesses, churches, clubs and organisations. There are so many ways in which your skills and talents can help our projects. The blog gives you a sense of how organisations have made a tangible difference – if you want to talk about how your company can get involved, why not contact us.
