Assisting in Wagusu’s Training Centre programmes
Helping the Home-Based Care programmes by caring for orphans and offering support to people living with HIV/AIDS
Farming and Construction

Perhaps you have a skill or talent which could contribute to Challenge Africa’s projects:CA2 300x200 Volunteer in Kenya

Creative? Run a craft or drama workshop
Sporty? Help train the local football team
Medic? Offer vital health support to the community

Challenge Africa sends volunteers to live and work with our friendly Kenyan teams. We can meet you in Nairobi or Kisumu and accommodate you at our safe and peaceful centres in Wagusu and Abimbo.

Medical professionals are placed at government run health centres in the region.

An interview and enhanced CRB check is required for all UK volunteers.

East Africa is a wonderful place to visit with sun drenched beaches, spectacular scenery and abundant wildlife. We can arrange a discount on travel and safari adventures if you wish to see more of Kenya and East Africa after your volunteer experience. Our partners, Africa Home Adventure, specialize in offering the perfect trips, with 10% of profits going directly to our development projects.http://www.africahomeadventure.com/

What do our volunteers say about us?

Bethany Cuffe-Fuller, “Arrived home yesterday and just wanted to email and say what an amazing time I had in Wagusu. Jackie and the team are honestly the most welcoming and inspirational people I’ve ever met. They are all so dedicated and hard working, I’m missing them all already! The kids were absolutely brilliant and I really enjoyed helping Pauline in the classroom. The whole experience was so much more than I could have hoped for. I met some wonderful people and friends for life so I thank you and the CA team for giving me the opportunity to see the work you’re supporting.”

david 300x199 Volunteer in KenyaVictoria M, “The villages are very close to my heart. I have photos of the whole trip all around my room at home and am still in touch with the other volunteers which is lovely. Eddy is an inspiration and I am planning to go back to university this September to study International Development Management, so I can actually look into having a career working for charitable organisations and NGO’s.”
