A 40ft container full of aid is heading to the villages of Abimbo and Wagusu. The shipment includes medical and educational equipment and furniture, solar panels and generators, sewing machines, tools, bicycles and computers. Individual buckets full of basic items for families have also been donated by Blythswood Care supporters.
150,000 items of sanitary protection are also on board to stop young women having to sell themselves in return for towels. This should prevent new HIV infections until our sustainable sanitary project for girls is underway.
