Jacqueline can See for the First Time!
Jacqueline is a house help in Bondo and her albinism means she is virtually blind. Challenge Africa volunteers gave her a pair of glasses. When she tried them on, she started jumping around the room shouting out things she could see excitedly. Then she started crying and said, ‘If only I had had these as a girl, I would have been able to go to school’.
Last week, Challenge Africa gave Jacqueline’s four sisters, who also have poor vision due to albinism, glasses. We also gave pairs to their disability support group.
